Prayer is a vital work of our church.
Scripture commands us to “Pray without ceasing” and reminds us that
“the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
It is both a privilege and a responsibility.
If you have a prayer need, or you have been contacted to pray for
someone, listed below are the guidelines and telephone numbers to
start the Prayer Chains.

Instructions
| (1) |
If the call is for someone other than
yourself, be sure you have their permission first to
begin the prayer chain process.
|
| (2) |
Secure the
basic information, i.e. Name, Situation (surgery,
accident, etc), Date of Situation if necessary.
Keep it simple!
We don’t need excess
details.
These calls are not “gossip”
sessions.
|
| (3) |
Contact the church office (8am to noon
Monday through Friday) at 372-2089 or Loretta Jinkens at
372-5948 to start the Prayer Chains.
|
| (4) |
Each person
should call the next one on the list.
If no one is home, leave a
message and call the next name until you have passed the
message on to a “real” person!
If there is no answering
machine, go back and try to contact them later in the
day.
|
| (5) |
The last person on each list should
call the name at the top of her list to let them know
the call has been completed.
|
You are appreciated very much for the
time and effort you put into this prayer chain ministry. Let
us make a difference by our attitudes and actions.
“Talking to men for God is a great thing, but talking to God for
men is greater still.”
- E. M. Bounds
